Art Lecture
Invite Rabbi Yitzchok Moully to share a unique and inspiring message with your community.
Raised by former hippies, Moully journeyed from an alternative lifestyle amidst the Australian outback to ‘organized Judaism’ by way of New York and the Chabad movement. He graduated from the Rabbinical College of Australia and New Zealand, and the Rabbinical College of America. Moully is a self-taught artist whose works are inspired by the greats of the Pop Art movement—but he reflects its energy in Jewish form. Moully’s artistic journey continues to evolve in his quest to convey deep Jewish and Chasidic themes and significance.
With his art, Rabbi Moully creates a dialogue about creativity in Jewish life, and the joy and vibrancy in the Chassidic Jewish community. Using slides of his work as examples, Moully relates his journey, describes the evolution of his artwork, and answers the question he is often asked: What is a good Jewish Rabbi doing painting?
Moully endeavors to inspire your audience to find their own unique relationship with G-D and Judaism by recognizing their own talents and gifts. In addition to the fine original art work, Yitzchok brings enhanced giclees and limited edition prints, making his pieces affordable at multiple price points. Many cities bring Yitzchok in for an art show, but schedule art talks during his visit for different audiences at different locations. For example, if Yitzchok is presiding at a Saturday evening art show, he may do an Art Talk at a Friday breakfast meeting of young execs.
